Tikkurila Temalac FD50
Tikkurila Temalac FD50 is a fast drying, single component primer / topcoat for steel surfaces. Thanks to the anti-corrosive pigmentation, it is suitable for use as a single coat system on both internal and external projects.
Best Uses
Temalac FD50 is recommended for use on steel framework, service platforms and various machinery and equipment. It is the ideal product for workshops that have fast production cycles. Furthermore, Temalac FD50 is also suitable for electrostatic painting.
Application
Application is by Airless Spray or brush. All surfaces must be clean and dry before application.
Steel surfaces should be blast cleaned to grade Sa2½. (ISO 8501-1). If blast cleaning is not possible, phosphating is recommended for cold rolled steel to improve adhesion.
Primed surfaces should have all oil, grease, salt and dirt removed from the surface by appropriate means. Repair any damage to the primer coat.
Note the overcoating time of the primer. (ISO 12944-4)
