Product Description

Carboline Carbozinc 11 is a time tested corrosion resistant coating that provides excellent galvanic corrosion protection to steel in some of the harshest environments.

For over 50 years, Carboline Carbozinc 11 has been the industry standard for high performance inorganic zinc protection on steel structures worldwide.

Best Uses

Carboline Carbozinc 11 is formulated for use in C3, C5, C5 immersion and CX environments. This product is formulated for use as a steel primer for tank linings and high temperature coatings.

Suitable for use within the following markets: Commercial & Architectural, Bridge & Highway, Metals & Mining, OEM, Commercial Marine, Oil & Gas Midstream, Power - Conventional, Oil & Gas Upstream, Pharmaceutical, Water & Wastewater, Rail, Pulp & Paper and Petrochemical industries.

This inorganic zinc coating benefits from rapid curing and will be dry to handle in 45 minutes at 16°C. Carboline Carbozinc 11 can also cure at low temperatures down to -18°C.

  • High zinc loading
  • Very good resistance to salting
  • May be applied with standard airless or conventional spray equipment
  • Will cure at temperatures as low as -18°C
  • VOC compliant in many areas

Without using a topcoat, this product can withstand a maximum service temperature of 400°C continuously. If used with one of Carbolines recommended high temperature resistant topcoats, systems can withstand 540°C continuous temperatures.

Suitable to be topcoated with Carboline waterborne acrylics, epoxies, polyurethanes, high-temperature silicones and other coatings.

Application

Ensure to fully mix both components as per data sheet guidance prior to use. Thin as per recommendations in application guide. Apply via airless or conventional spray. Use a brush for touch up of small areas only.
