PPG PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane is a two component engineered siloxane coating designed to offer unique, high gloss and colour retention. PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane can be bought in variety of different colours, in full gloss finish. Highways Agency Item No.185.
PPG PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane can be applied directly over inorganic zinc and other metal substrates to offer excellent resistance to splashes and spillages from chemicals. PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane can be used on multiple different surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings and different forms of solid furniture. Also suitable for use on wind farms.
PPG PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane can be applied using brush, roller or spray and is touch dry in just 2 hours, ready for a recoat after 3 hours. PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane is quick and easy to apply and produces an immaculate glossy finish that we can guarantee you will appreciate.
For lighting columns, the standard PPG lighting column specification recommends that galvanised steel surfaces are prepared by thorough cleaning, degreasing and washing, followed by abrasion by belt sanding, followed by application of the following:
SigmaCover 280 Primer at 50 microns
Sigmarite 4560GF (previously Amercoat 4560GF) at 300microns
PSX700 at 100 microns
PPG PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane is a high quality coating which can be used on a number of different substrates internally. PSX 700 Engineered Siloxane has been highly recommended for use for London Underground due to its durability on surfaces which are regularly exposed to chemicals, abrasion and impact from trains and people.
