PPG SigmaCover 2 (formerly Amerlock 2C) is a two pack Epoxy Paint that offers a fast drying solution and can be applied in low temperatures, down to freezing point. PPG SigmaCover 2 is similar to SigmaCover 400, in that it can be used to offer excellent adhesion properties to existing coatings.
PPG SigmaCover 2 has been specially manufactured as a professional coating for use on bridges, tank exteriors, containers, oil tanks and bunds. PPG SigmaCover 2 is commonly used for London Underground projects. PPG SigmaCover 2 is ideal for chemical and fuel bunds and can be applied at temperatures down to 0°C.
PPG SigmaCover 2, 2 pack epoxy paint, is easy to apply using a spray, brush or roller and produces a quality, self-priming, semi-gloss finish. PPG SigmaCover 2 has a theoretical coverage rate of 8.5 square metres per litre. This theoretical coverage is based on a smooth non porous surface. For surfaces such as new unpainted concrete, this figure could be reduced dramatically. We suggest a sample is carried out to determine actually coverage rate. Sigmacover 2 is available in a variety of RAL and BS colours and has an approximate drying time of 6 hours (touch dry at 10°C). Steel surfaces should be mechanically cleaned and concrete and cement bonded substrates must be hard, dry and free from laitance and contamination.
PPG SigmaCover 2 is recommended for use in commercial, construction and industrial environments where chemical spillages, splashes and fumes from acids, alkalis, solvents and water can cause damage to surfaces. PPG SigmaCover 2 protects the surfaces of concrete and steel substrates against this attack.

The manufacturers data sheets are available for download from this website. It is your responsibility to read and understand all aspects of the data sheets before you place an order and prior to application. Please pay special attention to the preparation, mixing and application temperatures of the product, cleaning of substrate and environmental factors such as temperature, rain etc. Quoted coverage rates are based on the manufacturers theoretical rates and may vary depending upon substrates absorption, texture and application. We always recommend a test is carried out to ensure suitability.
Customer further agrees that Promain have no liability for any errors or omissions contained within the Product Data Sheets and are not liable for failure due to misapplication or inadequate substrate cleaning and preparation. For more information please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
