Product Description

Carboline Thermaline 4900 is a single pack silicone acrylic heat resistant finish suitable for high temperature exposures up to 260°C on steel.

Best Uses

Carboline Thermaline 4900 has air-drying characteristics, allowing for faster handling of in-shop applications than with other high-temperature coatings. Heat cure above 149°C is recommended and will impart added strength and integrity to the coating.

Carboline Thermaline 4900 is ideal for the oil and gas pipeline market, water and wastewater management systems, petrochemical, OEM and conventional power industries.

  • Temperature resistance up to 500°F (260°C)
  • Single-coat application
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock
  • Good weathering and colour stability

Carboline Thermaline 4900 is ideal for chimneys, flues and heating elements.

Application

Carboline Thermaline 4900 is self-priming on stainless steel, aluminium and metallized surfaces. For carbon steel, apply over recommended zinc primer. A mist coating may be required to minimize bubbling over inorganic zinc primers.

See product data sheet for full application guidance.
