Hempel HI-VEE Lacquer 06520

Hempel's HI-VEE Lacquer 06520 is a non-yellowing clear varnish which protects the preceding paint from the effects of UV rays. Lacquer 06520 and also contains water and dirt repellent properties.

Best Uses

Hempel's HI-VEE Lacquer 06520 is ideal for protecting Hempel's Hi-Vee 56540 in outdoor exposures. Please note that Lacquer 06520 is not recommended for surfaces that are subject to excessive wear.

Application

Best results are achieved with a flat varnish brush. Spray application is also possible with most types of spray equipment after thinning, however this application method is mainly subject to specific local conditions, and therefore no general guidelines can be given.

Apply on a clean, dry surface with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation. Use only where application and curing can proceed at temperatures above: 5°C/41°F. The moisture content in the wood should not exceed: 16%. In confined spaces, provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

There is no maximum overcoating interval, however, after prolonged exposure to polluted atmosphere, you should remove any accumulated contamination by high pressure, fresh water cleaning and allow to dry.
