Interthane 990SG can be used in a wide range of environments, including:
Interthane 990SG is suitable for use in both new construction and as an industrial maintenance finish.
The recommended method of application for this product is either Airless Spray or Air Spray (Pressure Pot), however it is also suitable for application by Conventional Air Spray, Brush or Roller.
Always ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from contamination. Prior to paint application all surfaces should be assessed and treated in accordance with ISO 8504:2000.
Oil or grease should be removed in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
Primed Surfaces
Interthane 990SG should always be applied over a recommended anti-corrosive coating scheme. The primer surface should be dry and free from all contamination, and Interthane 990SG must be applied within the overcoating intervals specified (consult the relevant product data sheet).
Any areas of breakdown, damage etc. should be prepared to the specified standard (e.g. Sa2½ (ISO8501-1:2007) or SSPC-SP6, Abrasive Blasting, or SSPC-SP11, Power Tool Cleaning) and patch primed prior to the application of Interthane 990SG.
Interthane 990SG is compatible with a range of International primers / intermediates, which can be found on the Technical Tab.
