Jotun Penguard Express MIO
Jotun Penguard Express MIO is a primer, mid and finish coat for steel and concrete substrates in low temperature atmospheric environments.
This product is part of the Network Rail/Railtrack RT98 Systems M20, N4 and N9
This is a two component amine cured epoxy coating. It is a fast drying, micaceous iron oxide (MIO) pigmented, high solids, high build product. Specially designed for new construction where short dry to handle and over coating times are required. Can be used as primer, mid coat, finish coat or as single coat system in atmospheric environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium and concrete substrates. It can be applied at sub zero surface temperatures.
Best Uses
Jotun Penguard Express MIO is best used on structural steel and piping which is exposed to highly corrosive environments. Suitable for structural steel and piping to be exposed to highly corrosive environments, C5I or C5M (ISO 12944-2). Recommended for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings and mining equipment.
Application
Jotun Penguard Express MIO can be used with an airless spray. Brush application is recommended for stripe coating and small areas. Refer to application manual on technical tab for instructions.
