Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish

Owatrol Deks Olje D2 is a high gloss wood finish oil for external and internal use on new wood and old timber.

Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish Varnish is designed for use externally and internally on old and new wood. Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish is manufactured especially for use on woods already treated with Deks Olje D1. Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish is used to provide wooden substrates with a high glossy surface that gets better with every coat applied, at least 3 coats should be applied for the best performance.

Best Uses

Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish Varnish is a proven marine product suitable for use on boats, above the waterline, garden furniture, doors and windows, to name a few and can be used internally on a range of different surfaces too. Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish provides surfaces with a tough, durable and flexible finish that is easy to maintain. Unlike traditional varnishes D2 will not craze or blister and because of D1s penetrating qualities will not peel or flake as water is unable to get into the wood where it can also cause unsightly stains.

• A High Gloss Finish for Boats, Garden Furniture, Decking, Parquet Flooring etc
• For use on woods pre-treated with Deks Olje D1 (or Owatrol Oil or XYLKOTE interior oil)
• Suitable for Hardwoods and exotic tropical woods such as teak, ipe, bovinga, bolondo and iroco
• High gloss, very durable finish (Can be slippery so not recommended for walkways.)
• Light and resistant film that avoids peeling, scaling, cracking or blistering
• Flexible finish (like varnish) which does not hide the wood grain
• Apply 3 to 6 coats

Application

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime and mildew. Treat mildew with a 50/50 bleach/water solution. Scrub solution on to the surface and allow to stand for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. All finishes that aren't Deks Olje D1 or D2 need to completely and throughly removed.

• New Wood: Treat with Owatrol Deks Olje D1.
• Weathered Wood Surfaces (Untreated): See Owatrol Deks Olje D1.
• Weathered Wood Surfaces (Previously Treated with Owatrol Deks Olje D1): Clean with Owatrol Net-Trol and restore Deks Olje D1 before applying Deks Olje D2.
  

Apply 6 coats of Deks Olje D2 allowing for a minium of 12 hours between coats. All coats should be applied within a month. Sanding between coats is not required. For an extra gloss finish, sand between the last 2 coats with 600 grit paper.

Surface and Environment

Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish Varnish can be used on all marine applications above the water line and offers a high gloss finish that can be used on a selection of different surfaces, including, teak, IPE, bovinga, bolondo, iroco and timber. Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish has a light and resistant films that will not crack, peel or blister when exposed to UV light. Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Wood Finish can be used on things like garden furniture, fences and stairs as well as boats, which is the recommended use.
