Owatrol Dilunett is a powerful, water washable solvent free paint stripper that will remove any oil and alkyd based paint, varnish or woodstain. Requiring no supervision or immediate removal of the softened coating, Owatrol Dilunett strips up to 8 coats of finish in one application. Suitable for virtually any surface including wood, metal, plastic and GRP, Owatrol Dilunett's gel consistency means it will not run, making it ideal for vertical surfaces and elaborate plaster or wood designs needing to be stripped.
Easy to apply, Owatrol Dilunett dissolves paint in the smallest recess and on the finest detail, softening all accumulated layers for simple, clean removal. VOC free and non flammable, Owatrol Dilunett is safe to use in poorly ventilated or confined areas.
Always carry out a preliminary test to determine the contact time required for stripping. Wear chemical resistant gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing. For best results on wood, do not let Owatrol Dilunett work longer than required to dissolve the paint. Hardwoods, especially those rich in tannins (Teak, Oak, Sapele, Chestnut…) can turn dark if in prolonged contact with Owatrol Dilunett. Where Owatrol Dilunett has darkened the wood DO NOT allow it to dry, prior to using Owatrol Net-Trol.
Treat stripped wooden surfaces with Owatrol Net-Trol to restore the woods original colour. Cover and protect everything you do not wish to strip, including plants and shrubs. Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight or on a hot surface. Do not allow Owatrol Dilunett to dry on the surface. If drying occurs dampen with mist application of water. Consult us for additional information and advice prior to using Owatrol Dilunett on Oak and Chestnut.
Remove any loose and flaking paint. Brush off any physical surface contamination i.e. moss, general dirt etc.
Apply a thick coat of Owatrol Dilunett over the whole surface to be stripped. For woods rich in tannins, work large areas in zones to avoid excessive darkening of the wood. Allow product to work. Remove Owatrol Dilunett and dissolved paint with a stiff nylon scrubbing brush or paint scraper while flushing with water, alternatively use a pressure washer (max 60bars / 870psi). NB: The use of hot water makes the job easier.
Thoroughly rinse surface with fresh clean water. After stripping and rinsing. All porous surfaces must be immediately treated with Owatrol Net-Trol while still wet to neutralise the surface. NB: Consult us for additional information and advice prior to using Owatrol Net-Trol on Oak and Chestnut.
Owatrol Dilunett - Solvent Free Paint Remover can be used in a variety of environments and a wide range of different surfaces, including plastic, wood, metal, plastic, GRP and plaster and can be used in confined or unventilated areas due to its solvent free properties.
