Product Description

Jotun Pilot II is suitable for industrial structures, can also be used for touch up purposes, or in marine environment such as engines, topside, deck and superstructure.

Jotun Pilot II is a one component oxidatively drying alkyd coating. It has a gloss finish with good gloss retention, and can be used as topcoat in atmospheric environments.

Best Uses

Available in most BS4800 and RAL Colours, Jotun Pilot II is suitable for application to a wide range of industrial structures. Various primers and topcoats can be used in conjunction with this product, although you should contact us for a better understanding of which coatings you can use in which exposures.

This product can be used for touch up purposes, or as recommended for use in the marine environment, can be applied to engines, topside, deck and superstructure.

Application

Jotun Pilot II should be applied using airless spray or conventional spray, however can be applied using a brush or roller if care is taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Extra care must be taken to ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any contamination, which will help to secure lasting adhesion. When applied at a dry film thickness of 40 microns, Jotun Pilot II has a theoretical coverage rate of 12m2 per litre.

Surface and Environment

As part of the Jotun range, Pilot II is suited for application in a variety of areas exposed to atmospheric conditions. Recommended for touch-up purposes and suitable for a wide range of industrial structures to ensure protection and lasting adhesion. Apply Jotun Pilot II over most alkyd, epoxy or vinyl coatings depending on the actual exposure of the coating system.
