Selemix 2.708.080x Primer is a single pack product formulated to provide excellent adhesion particularly to bare steel, the paint is also fast drying being touch dry in as little as 30-60 minutes and can be over coated without sanding in just 1 hour at 20°C saving valuable time on application and labour leading to overall reduced costs.
2.708.080x is available in two standard colours 2.708.0800 grey and 2.708.0801 red. When used as a primer coat in part of a Selemix paint system 2.708.0800/1 is perfect for application on to bare steel, phosphate steel, mild steel, agricultural equipment, trailers, tillers, tractors, ploughs, combine harvesters, plant equipment, diggers, dumpers, excavators, earthmovers, street masters, screed pumps, power barrows, workshop equipment, trolley jacks, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, brake presses, guillotines, surface grinders, cars, trucks, motorcycle, bicycles, steel structures, roller shutters, steel doors plus many more.
Selemix 2.708.08000/1 is best used as a primer coat in part of a Selemix paint system with an applicable Selemix topcoat, when used as part of the aforementioned paint system 2.708.0800/1 is ideal for application on to bare steel, mild steel, phosphate steel, previously coated steel, plant equipment, excavators, diggers, dumpers, power barrows, generators, screed pumps, electrical cabinets, welfare cabins, steel structures, cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, bicycles, agricultural equipment, ploughs, tractors, trailers, combine harvesters, muck spreaders, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, guillotines, roller shutter doors, steel doors plus many more.
Substrates will need to be prepared for painting by suitably abrading to produce a key followed by thoroughly degreasing to remove any dirt and lose particles. 2.708.0800/1 can be applied by airless, airmix and conventional spray equipment, when applied at a 50 micron dry film thickness has theoretical coverage of 5.2-6m2 per litre. For best results and optimum performance it is recommended that 2 coats are applied.
Selemix 2.708.0800/1 will need to be thinned by 1-5% volume with Selemix Thinners 1-610, 1-205 or 1-215 when being applied by conventional spray equipment, if using airless or airmix equipment the primer can be used un-thinned, always consult the manufactures technical datasheet for applicable ratio prior to use.
