Selemix 7-550 UHS Polyurethane Topcoat is a 2 Pack paint formulated with enamel it has high level of durability, excellent opacity and a high gloss finish, 7-550 is ideal for protecting ferrous steel.
Please note, the Hardener is not included with this product. Compatible Hardener is Selemix 9-075.
7-550 UHS Topcoat is a 2 pack topcoat designed to be used in part of a Selemix paint system. The paint has been formulated with enamel and will provide a durable and resistant finish. 7-550 has a high level of opacity with a high gloss finish it is available in a large range of colours and can be tinted to most RAL, BS & NCS colour codes.
When 7-550 is used as a top coat in a Selemix paint system it is perfect for application onto steel, black steel, galvanised steel, zinc sprayed steel, light alloys, previous coated steel, glass fibre reinforced polyester, workshop equipment, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, plant equipment, excavators, diggers, dumpers, earthmovers, screed pumps, power barrows, generators, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, tillers, ploughs, harvesters, cars, trucks, motorcycle, bicycle frames, welfare cabins, roller shutter doors, steel doors, steel structures plus many more.
7-550 is best used as a topcoat in part of a selemix paint system over a suitable Selemix 2 pack epoxy and pu primers. When used as part of the aforementioned paint system 7-550 is perfect for protecting galvanised steel, stainless steel, zinc sprayed steel, black steel, light alloys, previously coated steel, phosphate steel, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, tillers, ploughs harvesters, light industrial equipment, workshop equipment, machine tools, milling machines, drill presses, guillotines, break presses, lathes, plant equipment, street masters, road planners, paving machines, dumpers, excavators, earthmovers, screed pumps, cars, trucks, forklift trucks, steel doors, roller shutters, welfare cabins, airport ground support equipment, control panels, electrical cabinets plus many more.
Selemix 7-550 can be applied on suitably abraded, degreased and primed substrate, it is best applied via conventional spray equipment and when applied at 60 micron dry film thickness it has a theoretical coverage of 8 -8.3 m2 per litre.
For best result and optimum performance is recommended that 2 coats of 7-550 are applied as topcoat over Selemix Primers 7-413, 0-440 & 2.705.050x. Selemix 7-550 is a 2 pack paint meaning it will need to be combined with Selemix Hardener 9-075 at a general ratio of 4 to 1, it will also need to be thinned with Selemix Thinners 1-480 or in hot conditions use Selemix Thinner 1-208, always consult the manufacturer’s technical datasheet for applicable ratio prior to use
