Selemix Aqua 8-863 1K Synthetic Gloss Topcoat

Selemix Aqua 8-863 1K Synthetic Hydro-Thinnable Waterborne Topcoat is based on high solids resins and is low VOC with excellent sag resistance and a gloss finish, ideal for the protection of ferrous steel.

Selemix 8-863 is a single pack gloss finish waterborne topcoat based on high solids resins that can be tinted to most RAL, BS & NCS colour codes. 8-863 is fast drying with excellent sag resistance. Another advantage of 8-863 is that it can be thinned with water making it very low VOC meaning it is environmentally friendly and also safer for applicators to use. Selemix 8-863 can be applied on to any Selemix single pack water based primers, in addition it can also be applied onto any Selemix single pack solvent based primers provided they are completely dry.

Best Uses

Selemix 8-863 is best used as top coat in a Selemix paint system, when used as part of the aforementioned system 8-863 is ideal for application on to bare steel, mild steel, galvanised steel, zincs prayed steel, previously coated steel, black steel, iron, ferrous steel, phosphate steel, alloys, light industrial equipment, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, pull saws, table saws, drill presses, pillar drills, fly presses, brake presses, guillotines, surface grinders, water jets, welding machines, workshop equipment, car jacks, engine hoists, parts washers, tyre machines, compressors, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, tillers, ploughs, bailers, muck spreaders, combine harvesters, plant equipment, cranes, crawler cranes, tower cranes, lifting gear, chain slings, excavators, diggers, dumpers, earthmovers, water bowsers, fuel bowsers, pressure washers, screed pumps, power barrows, generators, goods hoists, genie lifts, street masters, back hoes, micro diggers, midi diggers, steel structures, handrails, steel doors, roller shutters, airport ground support equipment plus many more.

Application

Substrates will need to be suitably abraded and thoroughly degreased prior to application of Selemix 8-863. If applying to substrates below 15°C, apply one light coat to enhance the sag resistance.

Selemix 8-863 can be applied by either conventional or airmix spray equipment, when applied at a 50 micron thickness has a theoretical coverage rate of 6-7m2 per litre. For best result and optimum performance apply at least 2 coats.
