Tikkurila Betolux Akva Primer

Tikkurila Betolux Akva Primer for priming new and previously painted concrete floors. Helps to improve adehsion prior to finishing with Betolux Akva floor paint.

Best Uses

Tikkurila Betolux Akva Primer is ideal for use on concrete floors and stairs, in dry residential, commercial and storage premises. It is suitable for dry floors which are exposed to slight mechanical and chemical stress.

Application

The surface of the concrete must be dry and a minimum of 4 weeks old. Relative humidity of the concrete must be below 97%. The temperature of the air, surface and paint must be at least 10°C, and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %, during the painting work and drying. Please note, this should not be applied on a wet or non-absorbing substrate.

Remove laitance with a sanding machine and remove any sanding dust. Stir Betolux Akva Primer well before use.

Spread non-diluted Primer on the floor with a roller or brush. The amount of the Primer is adequate when it is absorbed into concrete pores and does not leave a varnish-like film on the surface. 

The primed surface can be painted with Betolux Akva Floor Paint after approx. 2 hours under normal circumstances.
