Best Uses

Tikkurila Pinja Flex Isolator formulated as a wood primer for wooden window frames and doorframes internally and externally. This wood primer is especially suitable for larch and other resin containing wood types.

Tikkurila Pinja Flex Isolator retards bleeding of wood resins and slows down discolouring of topcoat caused by resins. In order to reach good isolating properties it is recommended to apply two layers.

Suitable for overcoating with Tikkurila Pinja Flex 30.

Application

Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–320. Primed surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P320–600. All sanding dust must be removed. Stir the paint carefully before use. Avoid flotation. If necessary thin the paint with water.

For airless spraying, the product can be thinned approximately 0–10% by water if needed. Recommended nozzle tip is 0.09"–0.013" and pressure 100–160 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

For air–assisted airless spraying, the product can be thinned approximately 0–10% if needed. Recommended nozzle tip is 0,09"–0,013" and pressure 40–140 bar. Atomising air pressure should be about 1–3 bar. Spray angle shall be chosen according to the shape of the object.

Apply 1–2 coats as required.
