Tikkurila Temacoat RM40 is a universal primer, a single-coat paint and a topcoat. Provides good adhesion to steel, zinc and aluminium surfaces that are exposed to severe abrasion or chemical stress.

Tikkurila Temacoat RM40 is formaulted as a universal primer, a single-coat paint and a topcoat for adhesion to steel, zinc and aluminium surfaces that are exposed to severe abrasion or chemical stress. 

Tikkurila Temacoat RM40 is recommended for use on areas such as building framework, warehouses, corridors, plant rooms subject to light to medium traffic, concrete, bridges and conveyors. It can also be used on steel structures in wet environments, e.g. inside pontoons, ballast-water tanks and ship hulls. Other usage areas are steel constructions in underground and underwater applications and surfaces that may be exposed to severe splashing.

Application 

Prepare the substrate to the requirements as stated in the product data sheet. All corrosion salts must be removed and steel chemically cleaned prior to painting. Apply via airless spray, brush or roller.

Please Note:
Tikkurila Hardener 008 5600 is supplied as default hardener for this product. Please enquire before purchase if you require an alternative hardener.

Does not comply with LU Standard 1-085 Fire Safety Performance of Materials and is therefore not suitable for subsurface locations.Suitable for manually prepared (ST3) or shotblasted surfaces as either a primer or finish coat (if UV resistance is not required) for canopies, signals and gantries etc.
