Tikkurila Ultra Classic is a polyacrylate paint with excellent properties against weathering formulated for use on vertical wooden cladding.

Best Uses

Tikkurila Ultra Classic is formulated for the in shop painting of untreated, factory-primed wooden surfaces or wooden surfaces treated earlier with exterior wood surface paints. Tikkurila Ultra Classic is also ideal for finishing painting at site within the Tikkurila ProHouse system range.

Ideal for use on exterior wooden exterior cladding, weatherboards, and vertical wood.

Application

Remove dirt, mould and loose particles from the surface. Wash down dirty and mouldy surfaces with Tikkurila Mould Removal solution according to the data sheet recommendations. Prime with Tikkurila Valtti Pohjuste or Tikkurila Valtti Akvabase priming oil in as early construction phase as possible. Protect rusting metal parts like nail heads with Tikkurila Rostex Super anti-corrosion paint. Remove loose resin from knots. Prime surfaces once with Tikkurila Ultra Primer or Tikkurila Öljypohja Oil Primer. Finish with Ultra Classic 1-2 times. Treat the end grains carefully.

For maintenance painting Tikkurila Ultra Classic can be re-painted with the house paints within the Tikkurila Ultra series or with Tikkurila's Pika-Teho House Paint.
