Watco Concrex Deep Fill
Watco Concrex Deep Fill is a cost effective alternative to the other Watco Concrex products when filling deeper holes. Available in either original, rapid or cold set versions Concrex Deep fill can be used in one layer between 15mm - 100mm.
Best Uses
Watco Concrex Deep Fill is suitable for use both inside and outside on concrete, sand and cement, and metal. It is the ideal product for filling deep holes quickly and economically. Use to repair deep holes in concrete floors, damaged steps, broken floor joints, making up floor levels, creating ramps, or on eroded, uneven concrete.
Concrex Deep fill can be used in one layer between 15mm - 100mm. It can be left as a wearing surface which has a coarse textured finish. If a smooth finish is required we suggest using Concrex Deep Fill to within 5mm of the floor level, and then overlaying with Watco Concrex Carbon Fibre.
Watco Concrex Deep Fill Rapid is suitable for use on light traffic in just 3 hours. Watco Concrex Deep Fill Cold Set cures at 0°C for all year round maintenance.
Application
All surfaces should be cleaned an fully prepped prior to application. Remove any loose material with a wire brush followed by Watco-Bio D degreasser to remove any oil or grease.
A primer is not usually required if patch or crack repairing. Watco Tack Coat adhesive primer is recommended when applying Watco Concrex as a thin section screed or when applying to smooth, non-porous or metal surfaces.
Each Watco Concrex pack contains a granular resinous compound and separate containers of curing agent. Using a trowel, follow the instructions on the pack to mix the components until a smooth grey mortar is obtained. The more thorough the mixing, the ‘wetter’, smoother and more manageable the mix becomes. This can be achieved quite quickly by wearing disposable gloves and kneading the mixture by hand. A creteangle or similar mixer can be used to ensure thorough mixing of larger quantities. This is trowelled firmly against the surface to be repaired, and finished with a trowel or float. To prevent drag on the trowel, a rag moistened with white spirit may be wiped across the face of the tool.
Surface & Environment
Watco Concrex Deep Fill can be used at temperatures of 10°C and above. Watco Concrex Deep Fill Cold Set is available for cold weather repairs down to 0°C, allowing essential maintenance during the winter months.
