Wethertex PP77 All Weather Pliolite Formerly PP51
Wethertex PP77 All Weather Pliolite Masonry Paint is an exterior paint that uses Pliolite technology for excellent adhesion. It can be applied in temperatures as low as -5ºC allowing for all year round application.
Best Uses
Wethertex PP77 has been tested in a hydro-thermal testing chamber, which subjects products to the most extreme weather conditions. It is suitable for use on Bonded Paint & Coatings, Brick, Render, Stone, rough-cast and other masonry subtrates.
Application
Preparation
Always ensure the surface is fully prepared prior to application. Repair any cracks and structural defects and ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from algae, lichen & other growths. If there are any faults in the substrate, particularly those that can lead to moisture penetration, then it is important that these are rectified or the overall finish quality could be affected.
Any existing flaking paint, dirt, grease or other surface contaminants should be completely removed and if there is evidence of organic growth, this should be power washed to remove, and then followed by an application of Wethertex C10 Fungicidal Wash in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Application
Stir the product thoroughly, do not contaminate. All Weather Pliolite Masonry Paint can be applied down to -5ºC by either brush, short pile roller or spray. After suitable preparation, apply two coats. PP77 may be thinned by no more than 10% for use as a penetrating base coat on very porous surfaces, but should not be thinned for normal application. See Product Data sheet for further information, ot contact our Technical Team if in any doubt.
The product must be protected against heavy rain, direct sun or wind in the first 24 hours after application. Sheeting the façade or the scaffold is advised to protect against this.
