Blackfriar Epoxy Floor Primer is used to stabilise friable and porous concrete substrates, or previously painted floors, prior to application of Blackfriar Professional Epoxy Floor Paints.
The recommended application method is by brush or roller. Prior to application, ensure that the surface to be painted is sound, clean and dry from grease etc. Any old, flaking paint should be scraped off.
Application to Concrete
New concrete should be left for a minimum of 6 months before applying Blackfriar Epoxy Floor Primer.
Do not apply Blackfriar Epoxy Floor Primer on concrete surfaces that have been treated with alkali containing liquids, areas subjected to rising damp or areas treated with PVA bonding
solutions.
If concrete floors are very smooth then pre-treat them with Blackfriar Professional Acid Etch followed after thorough rinsing by Blackfriar Professional Epoxy Floor Primer.
