Blackfriar Paint and Varnish Remover
Blackfriar Paint and Varnish Remover is an easy to use non-caustic, fast acting paint remover which works on a variety of finishes including gloss and emulsion paints, varnish and French Polish. It can easily remove multiple layers and will not discolour or raise the grain of wood.
Best Uses
Blackfriar Paint and Varnish Remover is ideal for use on wood, metal and glass. It can remove and strip multiple coats easily and due to its fast acting nature, it has a non-drip consistency making it easy to use. It can also soften and renew brushes.
Protective clothing, including gloves and eye protection, should be worn when using this product. Protect all surfaces not to be stripped and ensure good ventilation throughout (working outside where possible). Always test on a small area first.
Apply a generous coat of Blackfriar Paint and Varnish Remover by brush, taking care not to overspread. The paint will normally begin to blister and peel after just a few minutes. Many paints can then be removed by use of a scraper or wire wool, however, thicker build-ups of heavy-duty coatings may require extra applications every 30 minutes, or until the paint can be easily removed back to the original surface.
Do not allow the remover to dry out between applications.
