Britannia Aquashield
Britannia Aquashield is a ready to use coating with added fibres that interlace to cover small gaps or cracks on roofs, gutters and general maintenance work.
Best Uses
Aquashield is ideal for weatherproofing flat or pitched roofs, weathered asphalt and bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, GRP and fibreglass, felt galvanised and ferrous metal. Britannia Aquashield can also be used on fibrous cement corrugated sheeting, provided two coats are applied.
Please note that Aquashield is not recommended for use on Walkways, Balconies, timber surfaces, new and aged PVC, plasticised PVC (Plastisol) or for internal use.
Application
Britannia Aquashield is supplied ready to use. A single coat will give instant protection, even if there is rainfall immediately after application, this will have no adverse effect.
The recommended application method is by brush or roller. Always ensure the area to be painted has been cleaned and dried prior to application. Applying a fungicidal wash will help to prevent any further fungal growth.
With the surface clean and dry, apply a generous coat of Britannia Aquashield Waterproof Roof Coating by brush or squeegee, at the minimum specified spreading rate as stated on the product data sheet.
Full application details for various substrates can be found on the product data sheet.
