Best Uses

Centrecoat Multi Surface WB is ideally suited for application within the modular building and container industries onto substrates such as carbon steel, galvanised steel (new and weathered), aluminium (including untreated), Plastisol sheeting, pre-painted surfaces, glass, ceramic tiles, GRP and certain rigid plastics.

Centrecoat Multi Surface WB is a non-toxic, lead free environmentally friendly waterborne coating that contains no ingredients that are classified as being hazardous to the environment.

Application

This product must be applied and dried at temperatures above 12°C for best results, and the temperature of the substrate must remain at least 3°C above the dew point at all times during application and the drying process. In cold weather, steel etc should be given time to reach room temperature if brought from outdoors.

Adequate surface preparation is vital in the case of water based coating systems. All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from any form of contamination. It is strongly recommended that all surfaces to be painted are thoroughly washed and dried, and that all remaining surface contamination (such as oil /grease) be removed with a suitable degreasing solvent before preparing the surface. Failure to correctly prepare the surface could result in poor intercoat adhesion or delamination of the paint system. Glossy finishes should be given particular attention and should be adequately abraded, where possible, to provide a good key for any subsequent coating to be applied.

Mix thoroughly before use. Where appropriate, apply a full even coat followed by a second coat after the first coat has surface dried. Can be applied by a variety of application methods, including airless spray or air assisted airless spray (13-15 thou tip). NB. Not recommended for hot spray or electrostatic application.
