Best Uses

Owatrol Compoxell (Formerly Compo-Care Composite Wood Reviver) is a water-based WPC paint designed for bringing composite wood back to life. Compoxell is extremely easy to apply and offer quick drying time for protecting, enhancing and reviving the colour of composite wood.

Owatrol Compoxell Composite Wood Finish can be used to revive all composite woods found externally and works to waterproof and protect the surface against stains and grease too.

  • Semi-transparent tinted coating
  • Enhances the colour of composite wood
  • Stain resistant against oil, grease, food etc
  • Waterproofs the surface
  • Easy to apply
  • Quick drying
  • Low odour

Suitable for horizontal and vertical external wood plastic composites such as Composite Decking, Composite Cladding, Composute Fencing, Composite Balustrade and Composite Planters. Also suitable for WPC garden furniture.

Application

Ensure to use Owatrol Compo-Clean prior to use.

Do not apply in direct sunlight or to hot surfaces (+35°). Do not apply if cold and/or wet weather is expected within 24 hours. Apply between 10°C (50°F) and 30°C (86°F).

Cover and protect everything you do not wish to coat.
For colour uniformity, mix all product together that is to be applied to any one area or section. Vertical cladding should be coated from top to bottom. Never stop application in the middle of a board.

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, oil, mildew, stains etc. Treat mildew with a 50/50 bleach/water solution. Scrub solution on to surface and allow to stand for 10-15 minutes rinse thoroughly. Allow to dry.

Clean surface with Owatrol Compo-Clean or suitable detergent. After cleaning allow wood to thoroughly dry or until it has reached a moisture content of 18% or less before applying the finish.

Use as is. Do not dilute. Stir product thoroughly before and periodically during application. Apply a single, even coat of Owatrol Compoxell to the entire length or piece of wood, stopping at any natural breaks to avoid lapping.

Allow to dry. On very old, damaged and porous surfaces apply a 2nd coat. Where one coat is sufficient but a greater sheen level and/or greater durability is desired a 2nd coat may be applied. After spray application always back-brush or back-roll to improve penetration and uniformity of coverage.

Surface and Environment

Owatrol Compoxell Composite Wood Finish is primarily designed for external use. This product can be applied to all vertical and horizontal surfaces such as decks, cladding and garden furniture.
