Product Description

Best Uses

Coo-Var Anti-Slip Step & Ramp Paint has been independently tested and has a PTV rating of 68 in dry conditions and 58 in wet. UK law recommends on a minimum Pendulum Test Value on floors of 36 dry, wet or contaminated. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Low odour & fast drying, hard wearing, water based and low slip risk in dry and wet conditions.

Coo-Var Anti-Slip Step & Ramp Paint can be used on concrete, wood, tarmac, stone, brickwork and suitably prepared metal.

Application

All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants. Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good key for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically, using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. New concrete must be allowed to cure thoroughly, which can take up to 3 months. Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate.

Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate key is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare.

Mix well before use. Apply direct to wood, Coo-Var All Metals Primer on Metal. Coo-Var Anti-Slip Step & Ramp Paint should be thinned 5% with clean water on all other unpainted surfaces.
