Hempel Hempadur Spray Guard 35493
Hempel Hempadur Spray Guard 35493 is a solvent-free, two-component, epoxy coating that contains heavy duty antiskid aggregate. It cures to a hard, tough and well adhering protective coating.
Best Uses
Hempadur Spray Guard 35493 is best used as a heavy duty coating on steel and concrete that is exposed to severe corrosive conditions and/or impact such as splash zones and decks. It meets requirements to NORSOK M-501 when used as part of a predefined paint system. Edition 6, System 4.
Application
Surface Preparation
Always ensure the surface is fully prepped prior to application. Remove any oil, grease and other contaminants by suitable detergent cleaning and remove salts, detergents and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning.
New build: Abrasive blasting to min. Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC). Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.
Maintenance and Repair: Abrasive blasting to min. Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) / SP 10 (SSPC). Remove dust, blast media and loose materials.
Roughness: Surface profile Coarse (G) (ISO 8503-2)
Hempadur Spray-Guard 35493 is suited for application at temperatures between 10°C/50°F and 20°C/68°F. See the attached Application Guide for full preparation and application details.
