International Interlac 668 is suitable for application to marker buoys and as a safety marker on board ship. For use at new building, Maintenance & Repair or On Board Maintenance.
Use in accordance with the standard Worldwide Marine Specifications. All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure fresh water wash or fresh water wash, as appropriate, and remove all oil or grease, soluble contaminants and other foreign matter in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
Preparation For New Building or Major Refurbishment
Apply over a suitable, white undercoat, the surface of which must be clean and dry. Soluble salts should be removed by fresh water washing. Areas of breakdown, damage etc., should be prepared to the specified standard and patch primed prior to the application of Interlac 668.
Preparation for Repair
Repair corroded areas with the specified anti-corrosive scheme and apply Interlac 668 within the overcoating intervals specified for the primer (consult relevant primer data sheet).
This material is a one pack coating and should always be mixed thoroughly with a power agitator before application. Apply using Brush, Conventional Spray, or Roller.
