Lacq Parquet Varnish is an extremely strong, no-nonsense urethane acrylate-based varnish for hardwood and parquet floors. Benefits from extremely high wear resistance and can also be used on wood furniture.
Best Uses
Lacq Parquet lacquer is easy to apply and is recommended for wood floors that are used intensively internally. With a very high wear resistance, Lacq Parquet is flexible, does not yellow over time and is also easy to maintain.
Lacq Parquet is water based and therefore low odour - making the application process comfortable for the applicants and users of the property while the product cures. Suitable for all types of wood, this clear parquet varnish is available in matt (invisible) and satin gloss finishes.
Application
For Untreated Timber
Thoroughly degrease floor with Fluxaf Proclean; degrease tropical wood varieties such as Teak, Wengé with a suitable thinner.
Sand the surface in the direction of the grain. Use a P120 - P150 grit sandpaper. After sanding, thoroughly vacuum to remove any remaining dust.
Thoroughly stir the product. Apply Lacq Parquet with a roller, brush or spray.
For maximum protection we recommend the application of 3 coats. It is recoatable after 1.5 - 2 hours.
Lightly sand in between coats with a P220 or P320 grit.
Always apply in a well ventilated area.
For Previously Treated Wood (other than this product)
Firstly, thoroughly remove all old lacquer, wax or oil layers. Old layers can have a negative effect on the adhesion and quality of the Lacq Parquet. This can be accomplished with the appropriate sanders and/or cleaning agents.
Sand the surface in the direction of the grain. Use a P120 - P150 grit for this purpose. After sanding, thoroughly vacuum and remove all remaining dust.
Thoroughly stir the product. Apply Lacq Parquet with a roller, brush or spray.
For maximum protection we recommend the application of 3 coats. It is recoatable after 1.5 - 2 hours.
Lightly sand in between coats with a P220 or P240 grit.
