Mapei Ultracoat HT 2K

Mapei Ultracoat HT 2K is a two pack, water-based polyurethane varnish for wooden flooring. It complies with fire reaction class CFL-S1, when applied as part of a varnishing system with an Ultracoat Premium Base coat. Available in four different finishes.

Best Uses

Ultracoat HT 2K is best used as a highly protective finish on solid and pre-sanded wooden floors, as well as for wooden floors requiring repair. It is suitable for use in both residential and commercial environments and is ideal where areas are subject to extremely high pedestrian traffic (such as exhibition halls, shopping centres, airports etc.)

Application

Prior to application, you will need to completely remove all traces of any previous treatments. This will assist in obtaining an even finish. 

Floors should be sanded with a coarse and medium grained sandpaper and have all traces of dust removed with a vacuum cleaner. 

Grout cracks and irregularities in the surface with Ultracoat Aqua Plus or Ultracoat Binder, according to the instructions contained in the product’s relative Technical Data Sheet.

Remove all traces of dust after sanding.

Note: At high temperatures, we recommend diluting the product with 10% water or with Ultracoat EL (Dir. 2004/42/EC).

On types of wood with a high content of extracts, we recommend checking that the product is compatible, or applying Mapei Ultracoat Universal Base or Ultracoat Premium Base as a first coat.

Mapei Ultracoat HT 2K should not be used on exterior surfaces.
