Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240

Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 is a fibre reinforced self levelling compound, designed for use in the refurbishment of existing floors in both commercial and domestic applications.

Mapei Screed, this is a fibre reinforced self levelling compound, designed for use with the renovation or refurbishment of existing floor substrates, it can be used in both commercial and domestic environments. It should be used 3-40mm on concrete, screed, stone, ceramic and timber (plywood, chipboard, T&G floorboards). Mapei Screed is also suitable for use with underfloor heating and for encapsulating electric cable undertile heating systems.

This fibre reinforced self-levelling compound can be used on new or existing concrete, screeds, stones, ceramic tiles, old and new timber floors, parquet and plywood. We recommend that it will cover approximately 6m2 to 3mm thick. Key points of Mapei Screed include:

Mapei Screed’s levelling compound is fibre reinforced self levelling and smoothing screed, its suitable for internal use in both domestic and commercial applications. The surface will be walkable in 4 to 6 hours after application and ready for bonding in 1 to 2 days depending on the thickness. Where to use

Preparation

The substrate needs to be solid, free of dust, loose particles, paint, oil, gypsum residues and other contamination that could compromise the bond. Timber substrates should be clean and solidly fixed, open joints need to be sealed, surfaces that aren’t properly compacted should be removed or repaired.

Best Uses

Application

The substrate should be solid, free of dust, loose particles, paint, oil, gypsum residues or other contamination that could compromise the bond. Timber substrates should be clean and solidly fixed, open joints should be sealed with Mapei Planiprep Skimcoat mixed with Mapei Latex Plus. Cementitious surfaces that are not sufficiently compacted must be removed or, where possible, consolidated with Mapei Prosfas or Mapei Primer EP. Cracks in the substrate should be repaired with Mapei Eporip. The substrate should be primed with Mapei Mapeprim SP, Mapei Eco Prim Grip or Mapei Eco Prim T prior to the application of Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240. Mapei Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 be hand or pump applied.

Pour a 25 kg bag of Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 into a bucket containing 4.25-4.5 litres of clean water and mix with a low speed electric mixer to obtain an
homogeneous, self-levelling, lump free mix. Apply in a single coat from 3 to 40 mm in thickness. To minimise aeration a spiked roller may be used. The self levelling properties of Ultraplan Renovation Screed 3240 will provide a surface ready to accept all kinds of floorcoverings.
