PPG NovaGuard 650 is a two component, solvent free amine cured epoxy coating. Suitable as a tank coating for crude oil and aliphatic petroleum products.
PPG NovaGuard 650 is formulated as a tank coating for crude oil and aliphatic petroleum products, with a good resistance to various chemicals. This product can be applied by heavy duty, single feed airless spray equipment. PPG NovaGuard 650 has excellent anti-corrosive properties and water resistance.
Blast clean steel to ISO-SA2.5 with a blasting profile of 50 - 100 microns. Ensure substrate temperature is above 5°C and at least 3°C above dew point. Apply using airless spray - heavy duty, single feed airless spray equipment (preferably 60:1 pump ratio). Use a brush or roller for stripe coating and / or spot repair.
