Selemix  7-511 Polyurethane Matt Topcoat is a 2 pack paint formulated with enamel and can provide a high level of resistance from both chemical and atmospheric attack making ideal for protecting ferrous steel.

Please note, the Hardener is not included with this product. Compatible Hardener is Selemix 9-060.

Selemix 7-511 polyurethane matt topcoat is designed to be used as part of a Selemix paint system when a matt finish is required, the product is available in a large range of colours and can be tinted to most RAL, BS & NCS colour codes.  

Due to its formulation this PU matt topcoat has a good resistance to both chemical and atmospheric attack making it ideal for protecting steel, galvanised steel, black steel, phosphate steel, stainless steel, previously coated steel or light alloys.

Typical applications are agricultural equipment, trailers, harvesters, tractors, ploughs, plant equipment, excavators, diggers, dumper, earthmovers, screed pumps, power barrows, cars, trucks, steel structures, steel doors, garage doors, roller shutters, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, presses, workshop equipment plus many more.

Please note, different gloss levels can be achieved through blending Selemix 2 pack Polyurethane Extra Topcoat 7-512 Gloss and Selemix 2 pack Polyurethane Extra Topcoat 7-511 Matt. Please see the Matting Chart for further information.

Selemix 7-511 Polyurethane Matt Topcoat is a 2 pack topcoat best used as part of a Selemix paint system to overcoat Selemix primers 7-413 & 7-414 when a matt finish is required with a good resistance to harsh atmospheric conditions and chemical attack, using as part of this system makes the 7-511 ideal for protecting galvanised steel, stainless steel, black steel, phosphate steel used in products such as cars, trucks, bicycle frames, motorcycles, steel structures, agricultural equipment, harvesters, trailers, ploughs tractors, airport ground support equipment, electrical cabinets, welfare cabins, light industrial equipment, workshop equipment, plant equipment, excavators, power barrows, screed pumps, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, control panels plus many more.

Application

Selemix 7-511 can be applied by both airless and conventional spray equipment and when applied at a 50 micron dry film thickness has a theoretical coverage rate of 5.2-5.8m2 per litre, for best results it is recommended that 2 coats are applied. Being that 7-511 is a 2 pack paint it will need to be combined with Selemix Hardener 9-060 at a general ratio of 4 to 1. It will also require thinning with Selemix Thinner 1-420 prior to use, always consult the manufacturers technical data sheet prior to use for applicable mix ratio.
