Selemix 7-820 Fast Dry Extra Primer is a single pack fast drying product with excellent high filling properties. Selemix 7-820 has been formulated with additional anti-corrosion additive to provide protection for ferrous steel from the elements. Also being that the product is fast drying, time can be saved on application reducing the overall costs of labour and downtime. Selemix 7-820 is available in a large range of stock colours and can also be tinted to most RAL, BS & NCS colour codes. Selemix 7-820 is best applied to a suitably prepared substrate and then finished with a compatible Selemix Topcoat in an Selemix paint system, when used as primer in a Selemix paint system. The 7-820 is ideal for protecting bare steel, black steel, previously coated steel, plant equipment, excavators, dumpers, power barrows, earth movers, screed pumps, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, harvesters, tillers, ploughs, rotavators, cars, trucks, bicycles, steel doors, roller shutters, metal structures, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, guillotines, steel shelving plus many more.
Selemix 7-820 Fast Dry Extra Primer is best used as a priming coat as part of a Selemix paint system, when the intention is to top coat with Selemix cellulose, synthetic or chlorinated alkyd topcoats. When used as part of the aforementioned systems, Selemix 7-820 is ideal for application onto bare steel, black steel, previously coated steel, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, harvesters, tillers, ploughs, rotavators, plant equipment, excavators, dumpers, power barrows, earth movers, screed pumps, electrical cabinets, welfare cabins, airport ground support equipment, steel structures, metal shelving, cars, trucks, bicycles, motorcycles, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, guillotines plus many more.
Selemix 7-820 Fast Dry Extra Primer can be applied by both airless and conventional spray equipment, when applied at a 50 micron dry film thickness. Selemix 7-820 has theoretical coverage of 5.2-6m2 per litre. Selemix 7-820 will require thinning prior to use with Selemix Thinners 1-610, 1-205 & 1-215 at a general ratio of 10 to 1 for airless and 4 to 2-2.5 for conventional spray equipment. For best results it is recommend that the 7-820 is finished with 2 coats of Selemix 7-610 Topcoat.
