Product Description

Teknos Woodex Aqua Wood Oil is a natural oil for outdoor use for protection of garden deck floors, jetties and wooden garden furniture.

Best Uses

Natural oil for outdoor use for protection of garden deck floors, jetties and wooden garden furniture. Other suitable objects are fences, trellises, doors and stairs. Also for untreated, heat-treated and press-impregnated wood. Applied on clean, dry wooden surface by brush, sponge or by dipping, it protects wooden surfaces from moisture, soiling and when tinted from UV radiation of the sun. In addition it diminishes cracking of the wooden surface.

Please note this product is not suitable for greenhouses, hotbeds and shelters for livestock.

  • Suitable for decking
  • Tintable to over a thousand colours

Application

Clean the surface to be treated. Rinse the surfaces thoroughly with water and allow to dry. Remove from the surface all loose and poorly adherent old matter and fluffy top layers of the wood. We recommend that untreated wood is primed with wood preservative from WOODEX-series. Remove old paint or varnish layers before the treatment.

Stir well before application. If the product is tinited this must also be stirred during the application, if needed. Applied on the surface 1 - 2 times by brush, sponge or by dipping. The wood oil can be diluted by 10 - 30% to improve the absorption. Depending on the quality of the wood, the treatment is renewed. The possible excess oil is wiped off.

The surface to be treated must be dry. The relative moisture of the wood must be below 20% of the weight of the wood. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the product shall be above +5 °C and the relative air humidity below 80%. Painting in strong sunlight or in moist weather is to be avoided.
