Product Description

Tikkurila Finngard Opaque is a waterborne, alkyd-reinforced acrylic paint for use on exterior facades. Suitable as a breathable anti-carbonation coating in both internal and external use.

Best Uses

Tikkurila Finngard Opaque provides a waterborne sheen finish on interior and exterior facades. This durable masonry paint offers superb weather resistance, anti carbonation properties, and flexibility in an extremely durable finish. Tikkurila Finngard Opaque provides a masonry paint coating that protects against attack from chemical and biological erosion while ensuring low maintenance.

New or previously painted exterior facades including roughcast, pebble dash, concrete, cement rendering, building blocks and boards and previously primed wood and metal. Finngard Opaque is not recommended for use on substrates previously coated with lime paint.

Depending upon exposure and elevation one coat of Finngard Opaque is normally sufficient for 15-20 years.

Application

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, dirt, salts, all loose material and surface contamination. Use suitable fungicidal wash for mould removal and cleaning. Repair the substrate as neccessary.

Prime all new and old unpainted concrete and cement rendered substrates with Tikkurila Hydrosol Primer. Prime all previously painted concrete and cement rendered surfaces that are in poor condition (i.e. porous or friable) with Tikkurila Hydrosol Primer. Prime very absorbent surfaces with Tikkurila Hydrosol Primer using wet-on-wet method of application. Apply product via brush, roller or spray application.
