Tikkurila Temabond ST200
Tikkurila Temabond ST200 is a two-component, aluminium, epoxy maintenance paint which is ideal for use on steel structures with demanding surfaces.
Best Uses
Temabond ST200 is the perfect solution for repainting steel surfaces that are difficult to clean. These include areas such as bridges, cisterns, hydro power stations, and different types of steelwork and equipment in the wood-processing and chemical industries. ST200 is suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Application
All surfaces should be cleaned and dry before application. All oil, grease, salts and dirt should be removed by the appropriate means.
First stir base and hardener separately. The correct proportions of base and hardener must be mixed thoroughly before use. Ensure you use a power mixer for mixing. Insufficient mixing or incorrect mixing ratio will result in uneven drying of the surface and weaken the properties of the coating.
Please note: There is a natural tendency of this coating to chalk, discolour or yellow unevenly. It is therefore recommended to use a polyurethane topcoat when there are high aesthetical requirements on colour appearance.

Features and Benefits
- An ideal solution for maintenance painting due to its very good adhesion even to hand-prepared steel. As a high-solids product, the paint has lower VOC emissions than conventional epoxy paints.
- Withstands immersion in water and can therefore be used e.g. on steel structures immersed in water or buried in soil.
- Due to its aluminium pigmentation, Temabond ST 200 forms a very tight film with good chemical and abrasion resistance. The paint is used in systems for repainting and touch-up painting steel surfaces that are difficult to clean, such as bridges, cisterns and different types of steelwork and equipment in the wood-processing and chemical industries.
- High film build properties, also by brush.
- Can also be applied on old alkyd paint surfaces.
- Can be used as a single coat paint.
- Winter grade version Temabond WG 200 can be cured at lower temperatures.
- Recommended for repairing of damages caused by transport or installation
