Tikkurila Temal 400 Black
Tikkurila Temal 400 is a black, heat resistant, silicone paint, which can withstand dry heat up to +400ºC on steel surfaces. For industrial use only.
Best Uses
Tikkurila Temal 400 is suitable for both interior and exterior use. It is recommended for steel structures which are exposed to high temperatures, such as fireplace doors, exhaust pipes, sauna stoves, flues and other hot metal surfaces.
Application
Application is by airless or conventional spray, or by brush. All surfaces should be clean and dry before application. Ensure all oil, grease, salts and dirt are removed by appropriate means.
Steel surfaces should be blast cleaned to grade Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1). If blast cleaning is not possible, phosphating is recommended for cold rolled steel to improve adhesion.
Zinc silicate surfaces should be cleaned of oil, grease, salt and dirt, and any damage to the primer coat repaired. Note the overcoating time of the primer (ISO 12944-4).
