Axalta ViterLac DTM190 Primer/Finish
Axalta ViterLac DTM190 Primer/Finish is a single coat, anti-corrosive finish which has been specially designed for use in the Agricultural, Construction and Earth moving equipment (ACE) market.
Best Uses
ViterLac DTM190 is ideal for use in the ACE market sector, as it is resistant to diesel and hydraulic fluid splashes once fully cured. It can be used to touch up areas of damage and can be overcoated with itself indefinitely (if clean and sound).
Application
The recommended application method is by either Airless or Conventional Spray. ViterLac DTM190 can be applied by brush or roller, however as this will result in a reduced film thickness, application by this method is only recommended for small areas of remedial work.
As with most alkyd primer/finishes Axalta ViterLac DTM190 is not recommended for extended exterior exposure, coastal locations, or for immersion.
Surface and Environment
- All surfaces to be coated should be dry and cleaned to remove all oil, grease, salts, weld flux or other contamination. Where necessary, remove weld spatter and grind smooth all sharp edges and weld seams.
- Blast clean to Sa2½ (ISO 8501-1:2007), surface profile 50-75 microns.
ViterLac DTM190 should only be applied in areas of good ventilation which must be maintained during drying and curing. Do not apply when rain, mist, sleet or snow are imminent. During the application and drying time of the paint coating, the surface should remain dry, with the relative humidity not exceeding 85%.
