PRODUCT DETAILS
Centrecoat Agricultural Protective Finish is a general purpose alkyd gloss finish which is suitable for brush or roller application. Once fully cured, Agricultural Protective Finish is resistant to a range of oils and petrol.
Best Uses
Centrecoat Agricultural Protective Finish is ideal for use on agricultural implements, plant refurbishment and general machinery. It dries relatively quickly to give a durable hard gloss finish which, once fully cured, is resistant to a range of oils and petrol.
Application
The recommended application method is by brush, roller or spray. Centrecoat Agricultural Protective Finish should be applied to a suitably prepared or undercoated surface.
Ensure any old paintwork is thoroughly cleaned of loose flaking paint, oil, dust, or greasy residues. The surface should then be lightly flatted to ensure an adequate key prior to applying the finish.
Painting should only be carried out under good weather conditions. Preparation, painting and drying should never be undertaken when the air temperature falls below the minimum temperature for the coating. Furthermore, painting should not be started during fog, mist, snow, or when rain is imminent, or when the surface to be painted is wet with condensation, including if condensation may occur during the drying period.
Note: If recently applied primers or undercoats are flatted, an extended period should be allowed for the surface to recover. Failure to follow this instruction could result in surface defects such as ‘lifting’ or ‘crazing’.
Before application of a full wet coat, a light mist coat should be applied and allowed to flash off for ten to fifteen minutes.
