Product Description

Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint for use on garage floors, workshop floors and factory floors,  etc. Externally on paths, drives and patio paving slabs.

Best Uses

Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint has been specifically designed for garage floors and works to protect and transform the surface with an aesthetically pleasing, durable and heavy-duty finish. This tough paint has high abrasion resistant and works well to protect against general wear and tear for a long period of time.

Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint is best used on all types of garage floors, driveways, paths, patios, workshop floors and factory floors where a high quality finish is essential. Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint is a fantastic product that works extremely well at resisting oil and grease as well as various other chemical spillages and common liquid spillages.

Application

Ensure the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance liable to give adhesion problems. Scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm surface. Special attention should be given to areas under cars to ensure all oil, grease, dirt and road salt is removed. New concrete must be left for at least 6 months before applying Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint.

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller working the paint in any surface imperfections. On bare or new surfaces first apply Blackfriar Solvent Based Floor Sealer followed by 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint. On previously painted surfaces apply 1-2 coats as required. Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint is not suitable for use over PVC, thermoplastic tiles, quarry tiles, asphalt floors or granolithic concrete. Do not apply it on concrete surfaces treated with alkali containing liquids, areas subjected to rising damp or areas treated with PVA bonding solutions.

If concrete floors are very smooth then pre-treat with Blackfriar Professional Acid Etch followed by Blackfriar Solvent Based Floor Sealer prior to applying 1-2 coats of Blackfriar Professional Polyurethane Floor Paint. Surfaces are slippery when wet. To ensure slip resistance the floor must be kept dry when in use. The use of protective mats will help preserve the surface under tyres.

Surface and Environment

Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint is ideal for use in areas prone to foot traffic and light vehicle traffic, although it has been primarily designed for use on garage floors offering a semi gloss finish. Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint can be used internally or externally on wood, concrete, cement, metal and brickwork and has been specially formulated to resist common car leaks such as oil and grease.
