Britannia Solvent Based Tarmac Binder is best used as a binder for old or new Macadam Tennis Courts. The binder itself does not have an anti-slip finish, and it is therefore recommended that the binder is overcoated with Britannia SR60 Tennis Court Paint.
Ensure that all surfaces are clean, free from dirt, grease, moss and plant growth prior to application. Pressure blasting with water is a good way to remove any remaining debris. The court should have any repairs done and be completely dry before application of the binder.
If applying to a new surface, this should be left to oxidise for at least three weeks in the summer and up to 3 months during the winter.
The recommended method of application is by airless spray, as this will provide the best results in a single coat.
