Coo-Var Suredeck is a high quality water-based anti-slip decking protector with a UV resistant coating.
Best Uses
Coo-Var Suredeck is best used in areas where slip resistance is important. e.g. garden decking or other decked areas. It is suitable for use on prepared tanalised, soft or hardwood decking. Application
All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants, physically remove algae, lichen, moss or fungi, preferably by power wash and then treat with a suitable fungicidal wash.
If applying to new wood, this should be sanded prior to coating to ensure an adequate "key" is achieved. If applying to existing painted surfaces, these should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate "key" is achieved. Make sure to remove all loose, flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate then prepare accordingly. Always ensure the area is dry before painting, and test a small area first to ensure that the product adheres.
Apply a minimum of 2 coats, ensuring it is brushed out well, do not leave to pool in the grooves. Do not apply if the temperature is likely to drop below 10°C during application or during the drying process.
