Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua
Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua is a water based, professional quality, durable anti-slip floor paint with a heavily aggregated finish.
Best Uses
Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua is a safety coating suitable for indoor and outdoor use where a sure foothold is required. Ideal for steps and stairways, disabled ramps, doorways, machinery areas, most floors, and other areas where moisture and other substances may cause the floor to be slippery. For foot and light truck use.
Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua is suitable for suitably primed concrete, wood, metal, tarmac, asphalt and GRP. Compatible with most previously painted floors. Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua is ideal for floors where safety is a priority and risk of slips is high.
Application
All surfaces should be clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants.
Concrete - power floated, granolithic and smooth surfaces should be roughened first to provide a good key for the paint. This can be done mechanically by abrading or blasting, or chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch. These processes will have the advantage in
addition to preparing the surface of also removing dirt and laitance. Newly laid concrete should be left to cure prior to painting, we recommend 1 month per 3cm of slab thickness, up to 3 months. Apply a 5% thinned coat of Coo-Var Acrylic Floor Paint to prime and seal the surface prior to applying Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua.
Other surfaces have to be prepared and primed with the suitable primer for that substrate.
Existing painted surfaces - Surfaces should be cleaned, degreased and sanded to ensure an adequate key is produced. Remove all loose and flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate and prepare accordingly.
Mix well before use.
