PRODUCT DETAILS
Hempel Hempadur Mastic 4588W is a two component high solids, high build epoxy paint which has a tough coating, good wetting properties and low temperature curing.
Best Uses
Hempadur Mastic 4588W can be used as a self primed paint system or as an intermediate coat in heavy-duty paint systems for atmospheric exposure, where low VOC and high film build are required.
It is suitable for application at low temperatures (to -10°C) and is ideal where a relatively short re-coating interval is required (one day, one coat).
Application
The surface should be cleaned and dried prior to application of 4588W. Ensure that all oil, grease and other contaminants are removed with a suitable detergent. Salts, detergents and other contaminants can be removed by high pressure fresh water cleaning.
Application conditions
- The temperature of the product must be above 15°C during application.
- The surface temperature must be above -10°C during application & curing.
- Apply on a clean and dry surface with a temperature that is at least 3°C above the dew point, this will help to avoid condensation.
Relative Humidity
- Relative humidity must be below 85% during drying and curing.
