This product is part of the Network Rail/Railtrack RT98 System M21
Jotamastic 87 Standard is a two component polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating. It is a surface tolerant, high solids, high build product. It provides long lasting protection in environments with high corrosivity. Jotamastic 87 Standard is a part of a complete system which is spread of flames certified. This product can be used as a primer over single pack paint systems prior to applying a two-pack topcoat. Jotamastic 87 Standard gives excellent corrosion protection against salt and fresh corrosion.
Jotamastic 87 Standard is suitable for use on steel, where blast cleaning may not be possible, and on hydro-jetted surfaces which are still moist and where gloss and colour retention is of minor importance. Jotamastic 87 Standard can be used as a single coat or, in combination with suitable primers and topcoats. Jotamastic 87 Standard provides excellent protection against salt and fresh water. If the product is exposed to sunlight, chalking may occur.
