Best Uses

Following the increased demand for interior limewash aesthetics, Keim Mineral Paints have launched KEIM Colourwash – the easiest way to achieve a limewash finish without the hassle of limewash. The aesthetic of limewash can be achieved with a single coat of KEIM Colourwash Base followed by a single coat of Colourwash in five curated colours.

Colourwash is supplied as a pre-mixed and non-caustic alternative to limewash and benefits from:

• Ultra-low VOC (0-1g/l)
• 0.01m sd value breathability
• A permanent bond to the surface
• UV-stable colour pigment
• Compatibility with bare and previously painted walls and ceilings
• Anti-fungal and anti-algae

• Flat matt finish
• Fine maximum particle size

Application

KEIM Colourwash Base must be applied over KEIM Colourwash BASE. Allow 12 hours minimum following the application of KEIM Colourwash BASE before proceeding.

IMPORTANT: Stir/shake contents thoroughly before and throughout application.

Apply KEIM Colourwash using a wide, soft bristle brush (such as the KEIM Oval Brush), working from the bottom of the wall upwards. Dip just the tips of the bristles into KEIM Colourwash and tap the brush on the side of the container to remove excess. Move the brush like you’re conducting a symphony, overlapping sweeping “M” and “W” motions, blending drips where required. Maintain a wet edge throughout application and work to a natural breakline. Do not touch up or overlap dry areas.
