Product Description

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is a premium pool paint formulated for the long-life protection of rendered swimming pools.

Ensure to download and read Application Guide and Data Sheets prior to use or call our Technical Department for advice on correct application.

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is a modified chlorinated rubber finish coat. It offers excellent resistance to severe pollution and chemical damage, including salt water and acids found in swimming pool environments.

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint provides a gloss finish, giving protection in moderate to severe corrosive atmospheres.

Best Uses

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is best used as a protective swimming pool paint that protects surfaces against chemical and aqueous solutions. Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint can be used for exterior and interior application and is supplied in a variety of popular colours.

Application

Substrate must be cleaned initially with Coo-Var Universal Degreaser / Cleaner before the Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is applied. Failing to prepare the surface correctly may possibly result in the chlorinated rubber paint failing.

For concrete substrates, apply three coats with the first coat thinned 10% with Teamac Chlorvar Thinners.

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint should be applied via brush, roller or airless spray. Follow application details as per data sheets. Always provide good ventilation during the application and drying processes.

An average swimming pool will require 25 litres of chlorinated rubber paint for 2 coats. It is vital that the paint is allowed to dry for a minimum of 10 - 14 days at 20°C before the pool is refilled. This will need to be increased at lower temperatures and high humidity.

Surface and Environment

Coo-Var Swimming Pool Paint is a waterproof paint which is ideal for application on fish ponds, swimming pools, marine applications, dairies, changing rooms, showers and laundries, etc.

Suitable for use on many surfaces, including wood, metal, plaster, brick, masonry and fibreglass/ However, a primer may be required. Please contact Promain if you require further information regarding Chlorinated Rubber Paint for Swimming Pools.
