Rustoleum 5800 Epoxy Rapid WB is a 2 component, rapid curing, water-based, epoxy coating designed for industrial and warehouse concrete floors.

5800 Epoxy Rapid WB can be applied on cleaned, sound mineral substrates, sound and well prepared previous coatings. The product can be applied directly on porous substrates; a special primer is not needed.

Application

Concrete must be at least 30 days old, completely dry and free of surface laitance, contaminants and previous poorly bonded coatings. Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations by alkaline or high pressure (steam) cleaning in combination with appropriate detergents. Sand previous coatings which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly, check compatibility. Very smooth concrete or concrete with surface laitance (a weak dusty layer) should be abraded or etched with Surfa-Etch 108 to ensure adequate adhesion. The concrete should be thoroughly washed down and allowed to dry after.

Powerfloat Epoxy Floor Primer 3366 is recommended on powerfloated surfaces

Stir base thoroughly before adding it to the activator. Again stir the mixture thoroughly until an even colour and consistency are obtained. Do not mix more material than can be applied in 2 hours. Higher temperatures will reduce the pot life.
