Selemix Aqua 8-864 1k Synthetic Matt Hydro-Thinnable Topcoat is a fast drying waterborne top coat with chemical and mechanical damage resistance equal to solvent based equivalents, ideal for the protection of agricultural equipment.
Selemix 8-864 is a single pack waterborne matt finish top coat based on an alkyd emulsion that can be used both internally and externally. 8-864 is fast drying with excellent flexibility and durability. 8-864 top combines the easy to apply and safe to use characteristics of a water based paint with the high chemical and mechanical resistance of solvent based equivalents. 8-864 can be tinted to most RAL, BS & NCS colour codes.

8-864 is best used as a top coat in a Selemix paint system over a compatible primer such as 8-850. Substrates will need to be prepared by suitably abrading and thoroughly degreasing. For substrates that are below 15°C it is recommend that a light coat is applied to enhance the sag resistance.
Selemix 8-864 can be applied via conventional and airmix spray equipment. When applied at a 50 micron thickness has a theoretical coverage of 6-7m2 per litre. For best result and optimum performance it is recommended that a minimum of 2 coats are applied. Always consult the technical datasheet prior to use.
