Using 8-864 as part of the aforementioned paint system it is ideal for coating items such as mild steel, bare steel, light alloys, stainless steel, iron, black steel , phosphate steel, previously coated steel, galvanised steel, zinc sprayed steel, agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, tillers, ploughs, muck spreaders, combine harvesters, bailers, plant equipment, dumpers, earth movers, power barrows, generators, excavators, diggers, back hoes, street masters, jcb, midi diggers, micro diggers, bowsers, fuel bowsers, pressure washer, screed pumps, cranes, crawler cranes, tower cranes, lifting gear, chain slings, goods hoists, gennie lifts, welfare cabins, shipping containers, trucks, cars, motorcycle, bicycles, steel structures, hand rails, steel doors, garage doors, roller shutters, machine tools, lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses, pillar drills, plasma cutters, water jets, brake presses, guillotines, fly presses, workshop equipment, car jacks, parts washers, welding machines, airport ground support equipment, control panel electrical cabinets, plus many more.

Application

Substrates will need to be prepared by suitably abrading and thoroughly degreasing. For substrates that are below 15°C it is recommend that a light coat is applied to enhance the sag resistance.

Selemix 8-864 can be applied via conventional and airmix spray equipment. When applied at a 50 micron thickness has a theoretical coverage of 6-7m2 per litre. For best result and optimum performance it is recommended that a minimum of 2 coats are applied. Always consult the technical datasheet prior to use.
